I don´t understand its about comunication. Language separates cultures, music and images can join people.
I don´t understand its about the mind space, about memory, remainds and dreams, and its also about the outside space, about landscape and people.
What we tried to express in this video was our relation with this new space, which is also a new experience for us, ... and at the same time we wanted to show the feeling of imotence that you have when you tryy to comunicate with people and the only answer is "I don´t understand you".
To express these feelings we have used different symbolic elements, such as the eye (symbol of vision), lips (symbol of language), piano (symbol of "universal" music), tree (symbol of roots), track (symbol of travel), mark the horizon with the hand (limiting the space betwen sky and earth, symbol of duality), mirror (symbol of identity)..., which are universal and consecuently can be easily understood by different cultures.
We made two versions to absence whether images are as important without sounds.
To ensure that the diagetic sound appeared in the film, in the first version we used the oice of a person and the sound of the piano. The music repeats constantly in order to transmit the sensation of oppressiveness. In the second version we tried to completely change the meaning of the images. In order to do this we used a nondiagetic sound. We wanted to create different spaces inside a subjetive space, for which we have used a different way of treating the relation of space-time. (outside space-inside space, racional word´s language- universal musical languaje).
